“On 30th September 2016, I observed a huge wave of Oriental Pied Hornbills (Anthracoceros albirostris) numbering more than 10 birds, foraging at Pasir Ris Park, Carpark C (above).
“There were lots of commotion going on, with many birds actively flying around, moving from tree to tree. This encounter reminded me of a scene I saw at Borneo several years ago along the Kinabatangan river.

“I also observed a solitary male hornbill feeding on red flowers, consuming all the red petals (above and below). It was the only bird that fed on the flower petals of the plant (climber?).”
