“While exploring the Travis Wetland Nature Heritage Park (South Island, New Zealand) on 23rd December 2012, I was greeted by a family of Paradise Shelducks (Tadorna variegata, Maori name: Putangitangi). The convoy of nine little ducklings was being led by the male (with blackish head), while the female (with white head) brought up the rear (above).
